A Bit About Me

Hi! I'm so happy you are here! ​

​My name is Tess Patry, a recent graduate with a degree in nutrition from UMass Amherst, who is deeply passionate about promoting community health and wellness.
​
Throughout my educational career, I learned the importance of health and how I can implement this knowledge to everyone. However, I was also exposed to another side of health— how overwhelming it can be. ​
​
When I started making decisions to prioritize my health, I found myself wanting to do everything at once. Run, lift, eat whole foods, drink enough water... the list goes on. Yet these are great healthful practices, it was done in the manner of wanting to do it all at once and wanting to be perfect at it right away. I quickly began to recognize that trying to do it all in any aspect of life will make it a whole lot more difficult for you to tackle any of the tasks you have your mind set on. So with a constant reminder to focus on what is in front of you first (as well as a lot of inspiration from Krissy Cela), I started to enjoy this process and want to continue implementing these habits into my lifestyle.

I believe having success is not always about doing everything at once but about staying consistent and making progress, even if it’s just a small step forward. Hey, even taking the time to read this site is your first step along your journey. This proves you are meant to be here and ready to START!
