I STARTED...

in 2020, when my high school career came to an unexpected close with COVID, so I had lots of free time to pick up new hobbies. After finding a passion for exercise from participating in sports, I turned to home workouts on social media. With the abundance of content, I felt overwhelmed and lost on where to begin until I discovered a fitness app, EvolveYou, which introduced me to an organized day-by-day plan that kickstarted my love for lifting. I began to understand that the value of exercise is so much more than improving your physique; it is a way to celebrate your body and an opportunity for personal growth and self-care through movement. This completely shifted my perspective on health, inspiring me to contribute to this field.

Started to become more comfortable in the gym and made time to lift weekly. This slowly began to become a non-negotiable in my routine.

2024

A couple races later, I started to enjoy the process of working towards a challenge and found myself signing up for more races

(high school me would be laughing)

One thing led to another and I signed up for a half marathon in April 2024 while still prioritizing lifting as it became a staple in my life for the last year.

As I look back, I understand the importance of celebrating little successes during each stage rather than looking ahead of where I want to be.

2025

This year, I recognize that these steps of my journey were crucial into shaping what I value most... the process. The process is where I built healthful habits into my life. The process is where I embraced the small steps
